Before you cancel the QuickBooks:
Following are some things that you should know before you cancel the QuickBooks:
- You can’t cancel the QuickBooks without being signed into your QuickBooks account as an administrator.
- Only the person who legally owns the account can cancel the QuickBooks account.
- In case you are not in United States, you can still cancel your QuickBooks account with the help of cancelling the online subscription under the ‘Non-US’ section.
- All the e-payments and other deposits must be completed and cleared off before you cancel the QuickBooks.
- In case of a suspended account, a re-subscription is mandatory before you become eligible to cancel your QuickBooks account.
Note: If you change your plan to cancel the QuickBooks account, in that case you can get flexibility over downgrading or upgrading your subscription of the QuickBooks plan.
How to downgrade the QuickBooks account:
Please follow these steps:
- Log into your QuickBooks account.
- On the official website, go to ‘App’ section and then go to ‘Change Plan’ section.
- Here you will see all the possible downgrade changes that you can make.
- Click on ‘Choose Plan’ under the subscription option you wish to choose.
- Inspect the all the changes that will occur before you confirm the plan.
Note: Once you downgrade the QuickBooks plan, any further change in subscription will at least take 24 hours.
- Remove all the stoppers if any.
- Click on ‘Next.’
- You will be shown the new changes that have been made to your account.
- Click on ‘Confirm’ to finish the process.
- Log out of the account to bring the changes into effect.
How to cancel the QuickBooks plan:
Follow these steps to cancel your QuickBooks subscription successfully:
- Log into your QuickBooks account.
Note: An administrator login is a must for this process!
- Select ‘Settings’ option.
- From the drop down menu click on ‘Account and Settings.’
- Click on ‘Billing and Subscription.’
- Now a QuickBooks section will open in front of you.
- Locate the option that says ‘Cancel.’
- Upon clicking ‘Cancel’, you will be asked a few exit survey questions as a feedback on the QuickBooks services. (It is a small online survey that does not take very long.)
- Then you need to click on ‘Continue’ in order to proceed with the Cancellation process.
- Once you have followed the above steps, a cancellation email is sent to the legal administrator of your QuickBooks account.
